Acquiring Rare Pizza NFTs for GreenPill Stewards (Draft)

Hello GreenPill Community!

I’ve prepared a draft proposal that we can collaboratively refine and bring to life on Gardens. Looking forward to your feedback and ideas on how we can make this happen together!

Acquiring Rare Pizza NFTs for GreenPill Network Events

Funding Requested: 0.24 ETH for 3 Rare Pizza NFTs
Category: Community Engagement & Partnerships

Purpose

  • Strengthen Partnership with PizzaDAO: Deepen collaboration with PizzaDAO, aligning with GreenPill’s mission of fostering community-driven initiatives
  • Support Chapter Events: Enable 3 GreenPill chapters to become PizzaDAO members and fund pizza-focused IRL meetups
  • Engage Chapters: Distribute NFTs to active chapters to maximize community impact

Background

PizzaDAO has been a partner since GreenPill Nigeria’s early days. They host the annual Global Pizza Party on May 22 (Bitcoin Pizza Day) with 20,000+ attendees across 400+ cities. Rare Pizza NFTs grant PizzaDAO membership, allowing holders to propose and fund pizza events - perfect for enhancing our chapter activities.

What We’re Proposing

Purchase 3 Rare Pizza NFTs (0.08 ETH each) to:

  • Grant chapters PizzaDAO membership for funding IRL pizza meetups
  • Enhance events with pizza (universal crowd-pleaser!)
  • Strengthen our partnership with potential co-branded events
  • Enable chapters to engage with the broader PizzaDAO community

Expected Impact

  • Community Engagement: 3 chapters equipped with NFTs, potentially enabling 3-6 meetups reaching 100-300 attendees
  • Partnership Growth: Stronger ties with PizzaDAO for future collaborations
  • Chapter Empowerment: Give active chapters new tools for community building

Questions for the Community

I’d love your input on:

  1. Distribution method: How should we select which 3 chapters receive the NFTs? Should it be based on activity, proposals with their events planning, is it only for chapters participating in Global Pizza Day this year, or another criteria?
  2. Selection criteria: What should we consider when choosing chapters (event history, community size, proposal quality)?
  3. Application process: What should chapters include in their proposals to demonstrate they’ll make good use of the NFT?
  4. Timeline: What’s the best timeframe for applications and selection?
  5. Execution: How should we handle the purchase and distribution logistics?
  6. Success metrics: How do we measure the impact of this partnership?

@afo is having an issue posting in the hub for some reason, but shared this comment in the this task board item

Distribution method: How should we select which 3 chapters receive the NFTs?
Should it be based on activity, proposals with their events planning, is it only for chapters participating in Global Pizza Day this year, or another criteria?

I think it should be more than 3 ideally around 5-7. As for distribution I think once a month makes sense we just need a mechanism to determine which can be Greenpill dNFT activity across chapters.

Selection criteria: What should we consider when choosing chapters (event history, community size, proposal quality)?
I think it should be as much tied to the present/future than past, we’re in a moment where need to incentivizes those who are active and actively planning for growth.

Application process: What should chapters include in their proposals to demonstrate they’ll make good use of the NFT?
One we can use Charmverse to facilitate and I like simplicity, so given my understanding with a single NFT they can host mutliple Pizza party so the ideas would be to understand how many they plan to do, timeline, checkbox for what the event will focus on that’s greenpill specific, expected guests, social profiles to view proof after. From the things mentioned above there 2 potential pathways to a pizza box or we can combine them, I like them separate maybe and having a contest based approach and proposal one as well

Timeline: What’s the best timeframe for applications and selection?
After the working groups/councils are put together and we decide which group is responsible and they set the timeline based on priorities.

Execution: How should we handle the purchase and distribution logistics?

TBD working group can handle

Success metrics: How do we measure the impact of this partnership?

Event engagement metrics both on and off chain, Pizza DAO member growth through referral links, Greenpill member growth, NPS survey scores, social proof (images, videos, youtube views)

Thanks @lumina.envision

Love the idea, this is really a big Izzy Initiative and it will be great to see the ties really formalize between the two orgs. I wonder if the Rate Pizza NFT purchases should be subsidized by the Network so maybe something like 10-20% of the cost comes from the Chapter treasury.

Distribution Method - Gardens signaling pool?

Selection Criteria - Presumably we’ll continue to scale this and Snax mentioned at a previous monthly call that Pizza DAO could provide some Rare Pizza NFTs to the Network because we’re mission aligned. So deciding the first batch should just be based on who hosted a Pizza Party this year and will see who else expresses interest. Maybe an open call to see what Chapters are hot to get involved would be a good move and then we can reassess based on that. We do need to figure out a better system for seeding new Chapters so if Cape Town and London Ontario were interested I think it could be a less formal way to provide them some sort of financial assistance asap before the broader Chapter funding system is figured out.

Application Process - History with Pizza DAO participation and plans for how they will engage with that community and how they will use events to help their regenerative initiatives and/or the broader PGF space. As usual I think a well updated Karma GAP is important.

Execution - Depends if we think Chapters should purchase (and have the onchain history attached to their wallet) and then the Network can send them funds afterwards.

According to Opensea, the NFT is around 0.02eth, which is much lower than we mint a new one.

True but it doesn’t benefit the Pizza DAO treasury at all and if they’re willing to give us some NFTs then maybe we should mint. Or can do a combo of mint and secondary market.

checking the activiy, there are lots of mint on 22 May this year. So i agree to make a combo option. and the rank 1 NFT is on list at this moment.

So, let’s see what we can fix over here…

Acquiring Rare Pizza NFTs for GreenPill Network Events

Funding Requested: 0.2392 ETH for 5 Rare Pizza NFTs (2 OG + 3 OpenSea) + gas fees
Category: Community Engagement & Partnerships

Purpose

  • Strengthen Partnership with PizzaDAO: Deepen collaboration with PizzaDAO, aligning with GreenPill’s mission of fostering community-driven initiatives
  • Support Chapter Events: Enable 5 GreenPill chapters to become PizzaDAO members and fund pizza-focused IRL meetups (potentially 8 chapters if the deal for free boxes with Snax will go through)
  • Engage Chapters: Distribute NFTs to active chapters to maximize community impact

Purchase 5 Rare Pizza NFTs through a combination of:

  • Minting new NFTs (0.08 ETH each) to support PizzaDAO treasury
  • Secondary market purchases (0.0264 ETH each) for cost efficiency
  • Potential donations from PizzaDAO (Snax mentioned they might provide some NFTs to mission-aligned partners)

This will enable chapters to:

  • Gain PizzaDAO membership for funding IRL pizza meetups
  • Host multiple pizza parties per NFT
  • Enhance events with pizza (universal crowd-pleaser!)
  • Strengthen our partnership with potential co-branded events
  • Enable chapters to engage with the broader PizzaDAO community

Community Feedback Integration

Based on initial discussions, here are the key considerations:

Distribution Scale: Moving from 5 NFTs to reach more chapters and create broader impact.

Distribution Method Options:

  • Gardens signaling pool for community voting
  • Monthly distribution tied to GreenPill dNFT activity across chapters
  • Priority for chapters who hosted Pizza Parties this year
  • Open call to gauge chapter interest and capacity

Selection Criteria (Future-Focused):

  • Present/future activity over past performance
  • Active planning for growth and events
  • Engagement with regenerative initiatives
  • Updated Karma GAP profiles

Application Process (via Charmverse): Simple proposal including:

  • Number of pizza parties planned
  • Timeline for events
  • GreenPill-specific focus areas (checkboxes)
  • Expected attendance
  • Social media profiles for proof/follow-up
  • History with PizzaDAO participation (if any)
  • Plans for community engagement

Funding Model:

  • Network covers 80-90% of costs
  • Chapters contribute 10-20% from their treasury
  • Ensures chapter commitment while reducing barriers

Expected Impact

  • Community Engagement: 5 (or 8) chapters equipped with NFTs, potentially enabling 10-20 meetups reaching 300-700 attendees
  • Partnership Growth: Stronger ties with PizzaDAO for future collaborations
  • Chapter Empowerment: Give active chapters new tools for community building
  • Network Seeding: Provide support for emerging chapters before formal funding systems

Success Metrics

  • Event engagement metrics (on and off-chain)
  • GreenPill member growth
  • Social proof (images, videos, YouTube views)
  • Chapter activity growth

Two Potential Pathways

  1. Contest-based approach: Competitive selection with clear criteria
  2. Proposal-based approach: Open applications with community review
  3. Hybrid approach: Combination of both methods

Timeline: After working groups/councils are established, the responsible group will set priorities and timeline.

Execution: Working group to handle purchase and distribution logistics, including:

  • Whether chapters purchase directly (for onchain history) then receive reimbursement
  • Mix of minting vs. secondary market purchases
  • Coordination with PizzaDAO for potential donated NFTs
