Hey Regens,
After working for 4 years on ReFi Italia and 3 years for Rifai Sicilia and now with organizing with other local nodes in the Mediterranean Bioregion, it’s time to launch ReFi Roma.
There was an awesome event hosted in October called Web3 x Good that brought together a lot of friends and collaborators through the Urbe Hub Village.
After the event we have enough momentum and resources to launch the ReFi Roma Node. We’ve put together an initial application to request funding from the Gardens Pool to help support the launch. Here’s the draft application that we will submit formally later this week. Any feedback or comments is highly welcome.

Awesome stuff, excited for ReFi Roma!
My only feedback before posting on gardens would be to add a few more details about the proposed node and team in addition to the focus on the kickoff event being proposed. Beyond the first event, what other unique and special activities and focuses might ReFi Roma embark on / have interest and experience for? I know the names of ‘Collaborators & Key Stakeholders’ are included but could be good to have a line or two about each to get to know a little about the teams experience and background + connect on socials!
Hey hey, happy to see the emergence of a ReFi Med node in Rome – nice one for supporting it, and what seems to be a growing ReFi place-based network in Italy @RifaiSicilia
Also nice to see some apparent connection with Akasha & Hubs Network folks.
Connecting to @montymerlin’s points above, it would also be great to connect with the person who’s going to be the node lead/operator – could be nice to already open the ReFi DAO Global <> ReFi Roma Telegram group. The current ReFi Local Node onboarding guide is slightly outdated, so then we can also be sharing next steps & supporting the organization of the node/event directly there.
And here’s the link to the Local Node Kickstarter Pool, for when it’s ready – just to make sure it gets posted in the right one ;))
